"THREE Dimensions in an organiZation"
Maurice Nicoll reminds us of the ancient philosophy in the three dimensions of stone, water, and wine.
Stone refers to a literal and rational level of existence.
Water relates to an understanding through feelings and the five senses.
Wine relates to spirit.
Harmony among these levels enables an organization to achieve its greatest potential.
The Stone dimension includes objectives, strategies, and indicators.
The Water dimension is felt as the working climate
The Wine dimension is experienced as energy, wind, and drive.
A three-dimensional alignment does not require exceptional leadership. Instead, for an organization to grow into their fullest capabilities, we need leadership to be open to all three dimensions. By accepting feedback from within, leaders can inspire growth in their organization as well as grow taller themselves. The next generation needs this openness so that they can bring forth who they really are.
As Martin Prechtel says: "There is no such thing as a man's past as he carries it with him all the time." The same applies to organizations. A giant step comes from understanding what the organization carries. Combining this awareness with clarity and inspiration on where we all want to go enables us to develop a pathway towards a healthy culture.
It is an honour, now, for me to bring my diverse experience to assist others with their journeys and learn from them about mine.
