Perhaps the most unique aspect of Mark's experience is the variety and Global spread. Some of mark's highlights, below:

▸ A first class master’s degree from Oxford in “experimental philosophy” (now known as Nuclear Physics) providing knowledge of different influencing forces within all systems

▸ Coaching the development of the first Local Government after independence on Tarawa in the Gilbert Islands, Kiribati, South Pacific

▸ Represented the British Government at a symposium at Apia, Western Samoa on the Pacific Environment. This involved detailed negotiations with Ambassadors and High Commissioners from Australia, France, Japan, New Zealand, the USA and Pacific States resulting in negotiating and signing an environmental treaty for the Pacific region.

▸ Awareness of different cultures and traditions offering multi-faceted solutions to similar problems.

▸ Learning with tribal shamans, Martin Prechtel and Malidoma Some, known in indigenous cultures as "spirit plumbers". As we discover in our own houses, it is often easy to resolve a problem once we discover where the pipes are either leaking or blocked.

▸ Taking responsibility for the sugar industry to rescue the economy of Guyana  

▸ Setting up, in 1991, with six other British multinationals, the British Food Consortium for the Soviet Union, and working with British Government finance to alleviate severe food shortages in the Ukraine

▸ Non-executive director of AMSCO, set up by the World Bank to provide additional leadership and management support to organisations in Africa.

▸ Design and implementation of a change of leadership style to foster engagement and empowerment in the 160 factories of CarnaudMetalbox globally, whilst employed as the “Chief of staff”
